v1.0.0-beta.4 · October 21, 2026
Robrix is free and MIT-licensed. Pick your platform below — we've highlighted the one you appear to be on. Desktop and Android builds download directly from the GitHub release; iOS and iPadOS use TestFlight.
Installing
Distributed through TestFlight while Robrix is in beta. This release fixes a text-input crash on iOS 27.
Windows 10 and 11.
Installing
Since 1.0.0-beta.1 the package ID is rs.robius.robrix, so this installs alongside an old 1.0.0-alpha.2 build rather than over it — uninstall that one once you are happy.

Will it work with my server?
Almost certainly. Robrix syncs over native sliding sync, the same mechanism Element X uses — it is what makes logging in and loading your rooms list quick. Synapse has supported it by default since late 2024, so matrix.org and most homeservers already work. Only very old installs and a few alternative servers don't yet.
Android needs version 8 (API 26) or newer.
Build from source
Install Rust and cmake, then cargo run --release. Mobile builds go throughcargo-makepad. Full instructions live in the repository README.
